Instagram Integration
Integrating Instagram with LinkAI allows your custom agent to communicate directly with customers via your Instagram pages. This integration also enables you to take over the conversation whenever you want and communicate with users yourself through Instagram’s direct messaging. Prerequisites
Before connecting Instagram, you’ll need:Instagram Professional Account
Convert your personal account to a Professional (Business or Creator) account
Facebook Page
A Facebook Page connected to your Instagram account
Enable Message Access
Access Message Controls
Under ‘How others can interact with you’, click on Messages and story replies
Integration Steps
Login to Instagram
Click Get Started to login to Instagram. This will allow you to connect your Professional Account.
Select Business
Choose the businesses affiliated with your Instagram page. If you have no business, select Opt in all current and future businesses.
Verify Integration
Your pages should be integrated successfully. Click on Manage to see all connected pages.

Access Manage Page
After connecting your first page(s), navigate to Activity > Integrations > Manage
Delete Page (If Reassigning)
If you want to connect another agent to an already connected page, click Manage, then delete the page

- Check that the agent is enabled
- Ensure you haven’t hit Instagram’s message limits
- Review agent logs for any errors
Human Takeover Not Available
- Check if the page was deleted and re-added (this breaks takeover)
- Verify the integration is still connected
- Ensure you’re viewing the correct agent’s conversations
Instagram Messaging Limits
Instagram has rate limits to prevent spam:- New accounts - Limited messages per day initially
- Established accounts - Higher limits based on account age and engagement
- Quality score - Accounts with high block/report rates may be restricted
